I Need a Vacation

As I sit here typing this, my mind wanders to a crystal clear pool. The sun shines down brightly. The day is hot, but there is a nice breeze. I am lounging in one of the zero gravity recliners with a fruity drink in my hand. I have nothing to do, no place to be. I am on vacation.

Instead, I look out the window of my office and the sun is shining. It looks beautiful out. But, looks can be deceiving. In reality, the sun is shining, yes. But, the wind is blowing hurricane-style and it is cold. Not cold as in winter-cold, but cold as in it should be warmer than this.

I so long for a vacation. It has been years since we've taken one. I want sandy beaches, cold drinks, and not a care in the world.

Yes, that's what I dream of.
