Ten Things I Want to Tell Teenage Girls - Kate Conner

Raising a teenage daughter is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. At 14, she is opinionated, dramatic, stubborn, mouthy, and boy-crazy.

But, she is also, sweet, loving, funny, beautiful, and smart.

There are so many things she is, but getting her to see them and believe them is difficult. She thinks she's fat. She thinks she's ugly. Her hair is too poofy. Her clothes not stylish enough. Her feet are too big. She sees things about herself that are negative more often than positive and there's no telling her any different.

I found this article online today that I think says it all. It's beautifully written, and I couldn't have said it myself any better.
