I was tagged by my friend Synergy over at Syn's Life, to write eight crazy, random things about myself. I've been called crazy on a number of occasions, so this shouldn't be too hard.
Thanks, Syn!
1. I'm an animal lover. I have three dogs, two cats, and some fish. I've had birds and iguanas too.
2. Often time, my mouth flies open before my brain kicks in and I end up saying things I shouldn't. This has gotten me in trouble on more than one occasion.
3. I like working on cars.
4. I treat my dogs as if they were babies, baby talk and all.
5. I like peanut butter on my pancakes and waffles.
6. I'm addicted to Mountain Dew, and go through withdrawal if I run out.
7. My hair is long, but I prefer it short. I only keep it long because my husband like it that way better. I would really like to cut it.
8. My favorite movie is LaBamba.

In an effort to make myself feel a little better and get out of this funk I find myself in, I decided to join in on the meme going on at MommyCommunity. Even though I don't view what I do as "good deeds", it might be nice to "toot my own horn" and encourage other moms to do the same. All to often, what we moms do is taken for granted, and we rarely receive praise for all the good things we do for our families.
Here goes.....
Last Friday night at PM, my oldest informed me that the Wrestling club needed baked goods for the Regional Wrestling Tournament the High School was hosting on Saturday. Like the good mother I am, I went to the store, bought everything I needed to make chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies, and stayed up until PM baking cookies for the tournament.
Then, I got up early Saturday morning and headed over to the school to sit all day long at the tournament to watch said oldest take third place.
It's all in a day's work, and it's what we moms do.
If you want to participate in this meme, click the Tuesday Toot banner at the top of this post. Add your link to the list and start tooting your own horn!

Seven Random or Weird Facts About Me (meme)
This should be interesting.....
- Even if I'm overwhelmed and obviously need help, I have a hard time letting anyone else do anything for me. I'd rather just do it myself so I know it's done right.
- I have some obsessive/compulsive tendencies. For instance, I count each step when going up or down a staircase, every time. I think this started when I began losing my eyesight. I will redo something that someone else has done when it's not done the way I think it should be.
- I love the show "Drake and Josh".
- I have three dogs and two cats.
- I would have some sort of cosmetic surgery if I could afford it.
- Even though I know that I don't want anymore children, the thought of my kids getting older and more self-sufficient has me wanting (for a split second) another baby. It's a good thing Mike had a vasectomy after the last one!
- I am addicted to the Internet. The thought of being without it even for one day sends me into a panic.
There you have it. Seven things you may or may not have wanted to know about me.
