About Me

My name is Shawn. I'm 36 years old, born in Colorado. I'm a stay at home mother to three children, Tristan 16, Rebecca 10, and Timothy 8.

I live in Wisconsin now with My husband, Mike, our kids, three dogs, and two cats. I'm an animal lover, somewhat of a clean freak, and just recently, a lover of blogging.

I'm disabled, although that doesn't define who I am. I'm visually impaired, but not completely blind. I don't drive, which is something I miss terribly. I can still do most things, it just takes me longer. I've been told by many specialists that my condition is irreversible, but my hope is that someday I'll have my eyesight back. I also thank goodness every day that I have the eyesight that I have, and pray it doesn't get any worse.

I spend a great majority of my time online, blogging to help make ends meet. I have a couple other blogs going in addition to this one. Health to Home is a blog full of tips and tricks to help around the home and to stay healthy. There's recipes also. Femininity is a blog dedicated to women's issues. It's a relatively new blog, still in the beginning stages.

My other interests include gardening, cleaning, and crafts of all kinds. Although most crafts are hard for me to do, I still manage to do some, it just takes longer. I have a huge flower garden in my back yard that I enjoy spending time in, planting new flowers and enjoying the beauty. Cleaning is something I have to do, of course, but I really enjoy a clean home. It makes me feel good to have a beautiful home.

Aside from all that, there isn't much more. Since I'm not able to get out on my own, I spend a lot of time at home entertaining myself while the kids are at school and Mike is at work. I have to rely on someone else to haul me around where ever I need to go, so I try not to be a burden on other people. Sure, it gets boring at times, but I don't mind. Luckily, I enjoy my own company.
