Rebate in 2008

Have you heard about the rebate we're all supposed to get from the federal government in 2008? I heard it's supposed to be in the neighborhood of $300-$1200, or more if you have children. I don't know who is eligible for this rebate, but it's supposed to be distributed between May and July.

President Bush says the rebate is being given in the hopes of boosting the economy. He hopes that people will go out and purchase things they wouldn't normally have the money for with the rebate.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I doubt I'll be buying anything spectacular with my rebate. I'll probably be spending mine on bills, bills, and more bills.
