I feel a sense of accomplishment today. Of course what I did should have been done a while ago, but that's beside the point.
I finally got all my outside Christmas decorations down. It's only the end of March, right? No need to rush into things. Now, in my defense, it's been a long winter. A longer, harsher winter than in previous years. So that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!
All the lights are down, and Santa is no longer standing out front of the house reminding passers-by that Christmas is only nine months away. His reindeer have been retired to their hiding spot for the summer in the garden shed out back.
I can't help but think that if I had only procrastinated a little longer, I could have just left the decorations up and not had to do it again next season.
I wonder what the neighbors would have thought about that?
