I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Lisa, the owner of the Independent World Community (IWC). Personally, I have learned quite a bit from Lisa, and think she and her forum has a lot to offer anyone that might be thinking of making money online or even the veteran online money maker.
So without further ado, here's what Lisa had to say.
1. What are some of your interests?
Lisa: Earning supplemental income for my family, keeping an active role in my forum, the Independent World Community, my spirituality, my children, my friends and family.
2. Are you married? Any children?
Lisa: I am not married. I have 3 children. My oldest is from Jeff, my ex husband. The younger two are with my current significant other, whom I live with.
3. Where do you live?
Lisa: In Pennsylvania
4. What is your profession?
Lisa: Domestic Engineer and professional blogger, LOL
Lisa and the IWC has helped me tremendously with my blog and blogging activities. This is what Lisa had to say on the subject of blogging.
5. How long have you been blogging?
Lisa: About 1 year, seriously. I have used an online journal at Livejournal since 2002 but it was just a journal and very personal, it had restricted access as well.
6. Why did you start blogging?
Lisa: I am too lazy to write manually, LOL Then I found out I could get PAID for blogging!
7. What do you think is the most important tip to having a good blog.
Lisa: Good, original content.
8. How is blogging different for you today than when you first started?
Lisa: When I first started it was only for entertainment, to allow friends and family to *keep up with me and my life*
Not only does Lisa make money online blogging, she also earns money utilizing Get-Paid-To (GPT) sites. There's a ton of information on GPT sites on her forum, The IWC.
9. You've been making money online for quite some time now. Did you start with GPT sites?
Lisa: I did start with GPT sites.
Currently, the GPT world is suffering a setback due to fraudulent activity by some members. It's been tough on the industry, and we're finding that although there is money to be made, it's not as easy going as it was in the past.
10. What are your thoughts on the GPT world right now? Do you think it'll come back around, or could this be the beginning of the end?
Lisa: I personally, see this as the beginning of the end...
11. As the owner of the IWC, what is your goal for the forum?
Lisa: I want the forum to be a helpful and useful tool for anyone, no matter what their background (ex: lots of knowledge with making money from home or no knowledge at all) I want the forum to be well known and have the reputation of a reputable forum with lots of excellent information for everyone!
12. Since opening the IWC, you've had a lot of people coming to you for help in their online money making ventures. How has this affected your life outside the Internet?
Lisa: It's taken up a lot more of my free time and I've had to force myself to walk away from the computer and get things done around the house. That is why I have so many mods at the forum! LOL
13. Do you see the IWC being around helping people a year from now?
Lisa: Absolutely!
The really cool part about making money online?
14. This money that you've made online, do you have anything special that you're using it for?
Lisa: I paid for my family's Walt Disney World trip!
15. Do you have any advice for anyone that might want to get started making money online?
Lisa: Yes, join the Independent World Community forum!
Thank you, Lisa, for taking the time to answer my questions. Your generosity and desire to help others achieve success online is top notch!
