Last Payment!

Woo and hoo! We just made the last payment on our Chevy Blazer! And it only took eight years!

Eight years, you ask? Yeah, that's what I said.

We originally leased the vehicle new in 2000. The lease was for three years, and needless to say, we didn't stay within our allotted amount of miles and were way over. We couldn't afford to pay the extra mileage, so we bought the car to avoid paying it. We needed a vehicle anyway, so it seemed the best deal.

So, five years later, here we are. Free and clear on a 2000 Blazer. Thankfully, it's still in excellent shape. It should last us another few years, which means we'll be without a car payment for the first time in.......well, I can't remember when! That makes me incredibly happy. So happy, I want to have a party to celebrate!
