Lesson For The Day

DO NOT ignore dog in kennel when she barks at 5am. She is barking for a reason and needs to be let outside.

Oh yes, folks. I ignored our old girl, Missy, and at 7:30am when I finally did get up, the stink was unbearable. It had spread through the entire house, sticking to every surface.

The kennel went outside immediately, waiting for Tristan to get home to clean it out. Hey, she's his dog!

The dog went outside immediately and wasn't allowed back in until I had the bath all ready for her. She was covered in her own filth, and there was no way she was coming back into my house smelling like that! You know the first thing she would've done is jump on the couch and roll around.

It's two hours since I got up, and the stink is just now starting to leave the house. Windows are wide open (thank goodness for the wind that I'm usually not so fond of), the dog has had her bath, and the kennel is still outside.

I'm just wondering if the rest of my day will be as bad?

Call this a lesson learned.
