Weight Lifting and Body Building Supplements

I had to laugh at Tristan last night. He recently started drinking protein shakes as bodybuilding supplements to enhance his weight lifting. With all the sports he's in, the coaches at school encourage the boys to lift weights. It helps with strength, speed, and agility in their sporting events. The protein helps muscles heal after lifting and to build more muscle mass.

Anyhow, he bought the vanilla flavored shake mix, thinking he could mix it with just about anything. He tried mixing it with milk. Not a good idea. He managed to choke it down. Last night, he got the bright idea to mix it with some strawberry Crystal Light (it was the only thing in the house besides milk). It smelled like that pink Amoxicillan that the doctors prescribe for young kids when they have an ear infection. Now, my kids have always loved that medicine and taking it was never a problem, but even though this drink smelled like the pink stuff, it sure didn't taste like it. Once again, he choked it down as I stood by laughing at the faces he made.

Today, I bought him some orange juice in the hopes that he can mix it in the blender and make a shake like the Orange Julius drink I used to get at the mall when I was a kid.

I guess just like a woman going to the trouble of makeup and hair, a man will go to great lengths (even eating and drinking gross things) to achieve that perfect physique.
