I am so glad it's almost over. I have no idea who decided that I should have such a crappy day, but I do not think it's funny. Not one bit.
First thing this morning before 6am, Mike tells me that my computer won't boot up. WTH? It was fine last night. After fighting with it for a few minutes and getting no where, it was time to wake the kids up.
I wake Becky. She tells me that her ears hurt and she's stuffed up. I tell her to go back to sleep. Upon waking Tim up, he goes to the bathroom. A few minutes later, I hear the recognizable sound of him puking in the toilet. By this time, Becky has decided she's feeling well enough to go to school, so she's up and in the shower. Tim comes out of the bathroom and I send him back to bed.
My mind still distracted by my inoperable computer and my inability to go to work if it does not get fixed, I head back to it, frantically working to fix it. I didn't realize that Becky had been in the basement a long time. She had went down there to get something out of the dryer. The crashing, banging noise coming up the basement stairs finally broke my attention and I rushed to her side as she came into the kitchen, disoriented and stumbling into the walls.
She had had a grand mal seizure in the basement, and I was so distracted by my stupid computer, that I didn't even notice.
I checked her over for injury and got her situated on the couch to sleep. Seizures take a lot out of her, and she wasn't going to school after that.
I called both schools, let them know that the kids were sick and not coming in today. I then turned my attention back to the computer, which was a mess.
I proceed to spend the better part of the day reformatting the stupid thing. I have no idea what happened to it, but it's fixed now. I'm still waiting on some URLs for my work stuff, but hopefully I'll have those before I need to go in tomorrow.
Becky is doing better after a long nap, and Tim is feeling better as well. I think both of them will return to school tomorrow....I hope. I have a lot of work to catch up on after today.

For a visually impaired person, I would think you have quite a day. Very inspiring blog you have here. Hope you have a great week ahead and hope your computer goes back to normal.
Thanks, Aries! Being visually impaired definitely has it's drawbacks, but I try not to let it dictate who I am or what I can accomplish. This day would have been hell for anyone, but it turned out OK. The kids stayed home, rested, felt better the next day, and went back to school. The doc it referring us to a pediatric neurologist for a second opinion to see if there's something he can add to the mix to get her seizures under control, so that is good. My computer was fixed by the end of the day, and I returned to work the next day. The rest of the week went off without a hitch, so all's well that ends well, as the saying goes. I'm so glad you keep coming back to read and contribute to my blog. It's an inspiration to me to see you here and commenting on my sometimes crazy, mostly boring life. I look forward to hearing from you!
