Snowed In

Take a look at these pictures.

Go ahead. Look.

This is what we woke up to this morning. The first snow storm of the season, and boy, was it a doozy!

That wall of snow you see in the pictures? That is a drift in our driveway. A drift that is as high as my waist if not higher! It's so high, I can't even see what's on the other side of it. Not that I'd want to because it's probably just more snow.

Mike has to go out and blow the driveway out. He recently acquired a new snowblower, and has been wanting snow so he could try it out. I don't think this is what he had in mind.

Serves him right for wishing for snow!

Spring?

Today is April 28th, and believe it or not, it is snowing! Snowing, I tell you! The ground is covered, and it's still poking it down! It's only 31º, and downright cold!

What happened to Spring? My daffodils and tulips say it's Spring, but I don't believe them. They are out there shivering on their stems, covered in a layer of snow, trying to brave the cold.

Timothy actually got his winter coat out of the closet this morning to wear to school. I couldn't convince the other two to wear theirs, though. I bet they're cold. Right now, they are probably thinking that I was right, although I'm sure they'll never admit it.
