Answering a Comment

I received a comment earlier today pertaining to the post "Serving Jail Time", and I feel the need to answer it. The comment was somewhat negative. I don't have a problem at all with anyone that might have different opinions than my own. Everyone is entitled to their own point of view.

The commenter said that if I was going to post about murder, I shouldn't be so negative about it. It's not my place to tell anyone who they should feel sorry for.

Ummm......murder is pretty much a negative thing no matter how you look at it. I thought about his comments all afternoon, trying to come up with something positive to say about the situation, and I just couldn't think of one positive thing to say on the subject.

Nope. There's just no way to make it any better.

As for telling anyone who they should feel sorry for. I don't want to tell people what to do. We all make up our own minds and form our own opinions. I was simply stating MY opinion, and I don't expect to influence anyone else to my way of thinking. When you read my blog, you'll either like what I say, or you won't. And if you don't, you won't be back.

I just call 'em like I see 'em.

Your opinion and mine are very similar. I too feel sorry for the child. So often, it's children who suffer when adults make these types of decisions. It's kind of tough to feel sorry for a man who intentionally took the life of the childs mother and then was going to take his own. Yep...my heart breaks for the child :(
