America Got It Wrong Tonight!

I have to say that I am very disappointed in the results of the vote on American Idol tonight. There is no way that Michael Johns deserved to go home before Kristy Lee Cook or Jason Castro.

I really enjoyed Michael's singing and looked forward to hearing his renditions each week.

From what I'm seeing, this year's competition (and probably previous years also) isn't based on talent alone. While Michael Johns is good looking, he was one of the older contestants, and therefore not as popular. He didn't have the eyes like Jason, or the innocent sweetness of David Archuletta. He was just who he was, and that was a very talented singer who thoroughly enjoyed what he did.

I will miss hearing him sing each week. The one consolation I do have is that I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him. He'll be a star yet!
