Standing in line to check out at WalMart after making a pass through the aisle with the discounted Easter candy.
Timothy: "Can we get a candy bar?"
Rebecca: "Yeah! Can we get a candy bar?"
Mike: "No. I just bought you all a dozen Cranberry Eggs (read: Cadbury Eggs)."
Timothy in his whiniest voice: "But I don't like Cranberries!"
The cashier must think we're a bunch of nuts, because I started laughing out loud to the point of tears.
Mike has a tendency to switch words around, or to make up words, and the result is usually something very funny. This is just one in the many times he's done it and upset one or more of the children because they believe what he says to be true.
It makes for some cheap entertainment!
