While working ChaCha this morning, I found out that Forbes has once again named Bill Gates America's richest man. Do you have any idea what he's worth? Any guesses? Come on, give it your best shot!
OK, I'll tell you. The man is worth $57 billion. That's BILLION.
Now, while that's all well and good for Bill Gates, all it does for me is makes me sad. When someone has money, it's common to talk about "how much that person is worth". I just realized that we can't say that we're worth anything. Paycheck to paycheck does not a wealthy person make. If anything, we're worthless. Worth less than Bill Gates, that's for sure!
What does a person do with that kind of money? Obviously bills are not an issue, so what do you do with it? I can't even fathom that number, much less what I'd do with that much money. I know money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure does buy a lot!
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I don't think I'd change much. Of course I'd pay off my bills, and probably remodel my house, but I wouldn't be extravagant about it. That's what I'd do.
What would you do if you had that kind of money, or anything upwards of a million dollars?
