I need a little writing therapy. And besides, this is a funny story and begs to be told.
Tonight we set out on what proved to be quite a trip. Mike got home from work at 4:15pm. Becky had to be at cheerleading practice by 4:30pm. We all jump in the car and go. She gets there on time, and we head to the next town to find a football helmet for Tim for his Halloween costume. He's going as a Minnesota Viking this year, dontcha know.
So, along the way, we stop to pay a couple of bills and eat some supper at Hardees. The first store is a bust. They don't have anything under $50, which is too much to pay for something he's only going to wear once. On to the second store.
No luck there either. They have nothing. The third store turns out to be just as disappointing.
At this point, we are tired and Tim is very frustrated. He's not happy at all. Mike, trying to lighten the mood says, "You know, I could strap the snow blower to your face and you could go as a snow blower."
I burst out laughing in the middle of the parking lot. In between fits of laughter I said, "But you have to remember to make the motor sound to go with it."
Needless to say, Tim did not find his parents amusing at all. I on the other hand, couldn't stop myself from giggling every once in a while all the way home. The thought of someone with a snow blower strapped to their face making motor sounds just paints such a funny mental picture for me.
What an Evening!
