My son said to me today, "Mom, everyone has an iPod except for me and Becky."
As if that entitles him to one.
Sheesh.....kids just don't understand just how expensive their wants are.
Side note: They both already have MP3 players that hold more music than they have downloaded, and sound just fine, but were much less expensive.

Yes, I agreed. Good thing you didn't encourage them to keep up with the Joans. My 2 teenage sons does that too. I normally will let them know the difference between luxury goods and necessity.
You know, I know I'm right, and my kids are going to be better people because they aren't handed every little desire, but man. When every single kid at school has something and my kids don't, I do kind of feel bad. But, in the end, it's not killing them, so....
