I've been making these sparkleballs. I made one for my mom for her birthday, and am making another one for my mother-in-law for her birthday this month.
I use a soldering iron to melt the cups together, but am contemplating using hot glue instead. I also use the soldering gun to melt holes in the bottom of each cup to push the lights through, but am thinking about using cutting tools of some sort. I want to try to get away from the whole melting thing with the soldering iron. It's smelly, and can't be that good to breathe, especially for the two asthmatics in my house.
What would you suggest to make the holes in the bottom of each cup?
