It's no secret that the United States has the highest obesity rate in the world. Having said that, it's probably not far fetched to say that it also has the highest number of people taking weight loss supplements in the hopes of losing weight quickly and easily.
Unfortunately, weight loss supplements such as Phentermine are not a miracle cure for obesity. You have to look at the overall effects of weight loss supplements and decide if the side effects are worth it. While weight loss pills may help you along the road to thinness, they are not effective without a little hard work and determination on your part.
Researching and knowing the safety of what you put in your body is essential too. Just because a pill claims to help you lose ten pounds in a week, doesn't mean it's safe to use. Know what you're taking, know what the side effects are, and talk with your doctor before starting any weight loss program. Better to err on the side of caution before something bad happens.
Now, knowing all of that, I'll say this. There is no replacement for diet and exercise to lose weight. Like I said before, weight loss supplements are not a miracle cure for obesity. They do not work alone. You may lose a pound or two by taking them, but with a balanced diet and exercise (at least three times a week!) you'll see more pounds come off at a faster rate. I myself, am overweight, and I would love nothing more than to see a pill that would make me lose weight quickly and without any effort. Unfortunately, there is no such pill out there.
Use weight loss supplements wisely, keeping in mind that nothing worthwhile is gained without a little hard work on your part. Exercising and eating right makes you feel good, so get to it!
