The school year has begun, and they have wasted no time in throwing the kids into their extra-curricular activities. We're gone every night of the week, either to a practice or a game of some sort. Our schedule is as follows:
Monday: volleyball games (Rebecca) football practice (Tristan)
Tuesday: football practice (Timothy) football practice (Tristan)
Wednesday: volleyball practice (Rebecca) football practice (Tristan)
Thursday: volleyball practice (Rebecca) football game - JV (Tristan)
Friday: football game - Varsity (Tristan)
Saturday: football games (Timothy)
Sunday: day of rest (thank goodness!)
Somewhere in all this mess, the kids have to get their homework done, eat supper, spend time reading, and Rebecca has to practice her clarinet. Rebecca and Timothy get home from school around 4pm, and go to bed at 9pm. The five hours between is spent getting everything done. There isn't much time for rest and relaxation before bedtime, that's for sure!
I knew having three kids was going to be hectic as they got older, but this will take some getting used to. This is the first year that all three of them have something going on, and I'm not used to having to run every single day. Usually I can keep track of everything in my head, but this year, I had to start keeping track of everything on a calendar. It's just crazy!
